Are there any processing fees or penalties?
Processing or admin fees are capped at 10% of the loan amount. Late payment incurs up to 4% per month in interest plus a flat S$60 late fee per month .
Can I repay early? Are there charges?
Yes—you can repay early without any penalty.
What happens if I miss a repayment?
You have to pay up to 4% monthly interest on the overdue amount. Also, you have to pay S$60 late fee per month. However, licensed lenders will never harass you, as they follow ethical and regulated debt-collection practices.
Is the lender licensed by Singapore authorities?
Yes, only moneylenders licensed by the Ministry of Law’s Registry of Moneylenders can legally offer medical loans, and you can verify their status on the official Ministry of Law website.
